Senior Group Rehab Program

Regular exercise can help older adults stay independent and prevent many health problems that come with age. It also helps your muscles grow stronger so you can keep doing your day-to-day activities without becoming dependent on others.

Older adults should move more and sit less throughout the day. Keep in mind, some physical activity is better than none. Older adults who sit less and do any amount of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity gain some health benefits. Your health benefits will also increase with the more physical activity that you do.

Some of the health benefits include:

  • Improves your strength and helps you stay independent.
  • Improves your balance, which prevents falls.
  • Gives you more energy.
  • Prevents or delays diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, or osteoporosis.
  • Improve your mood and fight off depression.
  • Improve cognitive function.

Bellefleur Fitness has developed a 6 week rehab based program for seniors that is supervised by one of our qualified physiotherapists and assistants.

Senior Strong


Designed and supervised by a registered Physiotherapist alongside a qualified assistant, these weekly 45 minute rehab classes will progress you over 6 weeks to increase your fitness so that you are less out of breath, strengthen your muscles, reduce the likelihood of falling, stay mobile, reduce aches and pains, and continue living more independently.

Classes can be taught both seated and standing based on the client’s mobility.

Who can register?

  • Seniors over 60+
  • Those looking to improve balance and stability, strength, and cardio
  • Individuals with limited mobility or currently using mobility aids
  • Those requiring a low impact workout due to joint injuries or conditions

Program Outline

6 week program with 1 x 45 minute class per week. Each class is a combination of easy-to-follow low-impact cardio movement, upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching, and relaxation.


$300 ($50 per class)

May be covered by private health benefits under certain conditions. Please contact us for more information.
